I'm a fan of goals. Short term, long term, big and little. I will even write something on my to-do list that I've already done just to mark it off. Yes, I'm that person. There are things that I hope to do this year and I actually want to do them. Small, little, short term, long term. So, this year, I'll be joining in and posting my goals at the beginning of the month and then recapping the next month to see how well I followed through. Feel free to keep me accountable on these things! January Recap Read two books | Nope. Didn't get this one done. I only read one. Make and try two new recipes |Yes! Although, neither recipe was found from my new cookbooks I got for Christmas. And I still haven't used my new crock pot! Fail. The two recipes I tried were stuffed portabella mushroom caps and a one pot tomato-basil pasta dish. They were both very good! Create a Facebook page for Polished Arrow | Nope. I still wasn't quite sure whether I wanted to actually do this or not. However, throughout the month different things have confirmed that this is something I should do. So, I'm looking to do this in February. Draw...something |Sadly, no. Not yet. I love doing landscapes, but I'm not sure if I want to stay with that or try something new. Write at least two letters and mail them |Total fail. February Goals Read two books | If I want to reach that goal of actually reading 24 books this year, then I need to stick with this. I'm already one book behind! Create a Facebook page for Polished Arrow | Through different conversations and encouragement from others, this is something I really want to do now. Be on the lookout for updates! Join the Sunday Post Challenge | Elizabeth over at Oak & Oats came up with a great idea to have a Happy Mail Challenge! Every Sunday for the next nine weeks there is a different prompt on who to send mail to. I love getting mail and sending it out, so I'm looking forward to joining in on this challenge this month. This week's prompt is to send mail to a family member. Memorize at least one Scripture verse | Having the Word on our heart as Christians is one of the most important things for growing in our walks. I have a bad habit of knowing Scripture, but not knowing where it is in the Bible. Or I can remember a reference, but not what it actually says. This year, I want to make it a priority to memorize the Word. Make time for prayer | There may be days where I pray throughout the day, but I want to truly make prayer a vital and important part of my day. Because prayer is very vital to our lives as Christians, just like reading and memorizing the Word. Prayer is something I want to renew and refresh in my life, so it can renew and refresh me.
